Ganga Sailing is a very unique and unusual boat expedition in River Ganges which takes one not only to an exciting river cruising in commonly used boats but opens the ancient civilization and history of Indian religion and life style extremely clearly through its old villages and temples on the banks of Ganges.
Sailing for four days between a duration of six to eight hours in most sacred and important River Ganges starts from Allahabad and takes one through Mirzapur and Chunar Fort to Varanasi- the capital city of Hindu religion. The overnights are spent in surprisingly comfortable tents on River islands or on the banks. Every day is a new insight into the life on and around the holy river where there is an opportunity to go ashore to the culturally rich cities on the Ganges to visit the prominent centers of Hindu religion and to experience it in deep.
How the boats are-
The boats used are common Indian wooden row boat with a motor attached on each boat. There are comfortable seating arrangements of three boatmen with a canopy on the top and a small Trailer Boat attached is with the main boat for our kitchen crew.
